Discord has a brilliant but barely-documented feature: dynamic timestamps. Instead of typing "the event starts at 8pm EST" and forcing everyone in the server to do timezone math, you can drop in a special code and Discord renders the exact local time for each person reading it. Someone in London, someone in Tokyo, and someone in California all see the same moment expressed in their own clock — automatically. There's even a relative style that shows a live countdown like "in 3 hours" and keeps ticking. The catch is the syntax. These timestamps use the format <t:UNIX:STYLE>, where UNIX is the number of seconds since January 1, 1970 and STYLE is a single letter that controls the display. Working out a Unix timestamp by hand is nobody's idea of fun, which is exactly what this tool removes. Pick a date and time with the calendar picker, and it instantly generates the code for all seven Discord styles with a live preview of each. Click to copy, paste into your message, and you're done. Everything is computed in your browser using your selected time — there's no account, no server call, and no tracking.

The seven style letters explained
Each code ends in a letter: t = short time (4:30 PM), T = long time with seconds, d = short date (06/03/2026), D = long date (June 3, 2026), f = short date & time (the default), F = full date with weekday, and R = relative countdown ("in 5 hours"). If you omit the letter entirely, Discord falls back to the f style.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do Discord timestamps work?
+
Discord recognizes the format <t:UNIX:STYLE> in messages and replaces it with a formatted date rendered in each viewer's own timezone. The UNIX value is the number of seconds since 1970, and the style letter controls how the date and time are displayed.
Will the timestamp show my timezone to everyone?
+
No — that's the whole point. You pick a single moment in time, and Discord shows each person that same moment translated into their local timezone automatically.
Why does the relative timestamp keep changing?
+
The relative style (:R) is dynamic. Discord recalculates it continuously, so it counts down to a future time or counts up from a past one, like "in 10 minutes" turning into "5 minutes ago".
Do timestamps work in embeds and bots?
+
Yes. The same <t:...> syntax works in normal messages, embed descriptions, and bot output. Many bots generate these codes the same way this tool does.
Is my data sent anywhere?
+
No. The Unix timestamp is calculated entirely in your browser from the date you choose. There's no account, no server request, and nothing is stored.
